Novimet® is a microencapsulated source of rumen-protected methionine. It is 50% D-L methionine, of which 73% has been shown to be rumen bypass, with 93% intestinal digestibility.
Novimet®’s coating, developed as a specific blend of degummed and refined palmitic, stearic, myristic and lauric fatty acids, provides nutritional value as well as protection. It is free-flowing, non-hygroscopic, water insoluble, and heat stable to 144°F.
